So far, my posts have been nothing like those of the others (namely, more personal), and this one follows suit as I'm listing albums I'm looking forward to in 2012. I'll probably forget some.
• New United Nations LP/EP
• Every Time I Die - Ex-Lives
• new Brand New album (Pretty sure I read about this somewhere)
• new Converge
• whatever Odd Future does
And some non-music:
• Mass Effect 3
• Bioshock Infinite
• Guild Wars 2
• Rift
• Borderlands 2
• Metal Gear Solid Rising
• other games I don't recall

Mindless Faith - Just Defy
Well, it's nice to see that industrial's off to a fine start in 2012. Variety's the name of the game folks, and if you like anything in the industrial field, you'll find something to enjoy here. Like your industrial in the more relaxed and dreampop veins of Mind.in.a.box or Encephalon? Check out Undone and see what you think. Favor something more aggressive and beat-driven? Go forth and listen to Love is a Dirty Word and Corporati$m. Then again, you've always got the tracks that fall inbetween those two sides, like the massive No Saints Allowed that starts with an acoustic guitar intro and morphs into a lurching track that calls to mind Godflesh. Here's to hoping this isn't a fluke, and 2012 plans to bring us much more industrial like this.
I might be forgiven
I might be forgotten
Before what I've done
Is left undone

Abigail Williams - Becoming
Forget about everything you thought you knew about this band because with their new album, Becoming, Abigail Williams have gone for a completely different sound. They've dropped all the symphonic black metal influences and have gone for a completely atmospheric black metal album, not too far off from the sound of Ash Borer or Wolves in the Throne Room. Really surprising and really good stuff.
